NISM Series V-D is not mandatory for all Mutual Fund Distributors. However, it is required if you wish to distribute Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs). As per SEBI regulations, distributors must hold the NISM Series V-D Certification to distribute SIFs. For distributors holding NISM XIII certification for SIF, the NISM XIII will remain valid until expiry if obtained on or before 21 Sept 2026, provided they also hold a valid NISM V-A certification for the duration.
