NISM Series XXI-A, also known as the Portfolio Managers Certification Examination, is a certification that helps finance professionals build knowledge of Portfolio Management Services (PMS). It covers portfolio management principles, investment analysis, regulations, ethics, client servicing, and portfolio construction.
The certification is suitable for Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs), relationship managers, investment professionals, and anyone looking to strengthen their expertise in Portfolio Management Services (PMS).
The syllabus covers portfolio management principles, investment analysis, portfolio construction, equity and fixed-income investments, risk management, client onboarding, regulatory requirements, ethics, compliance, and portfolio performance evaluation.
The NISM Series XXI-A exam evaluates your understanding of Portfolio Management Services and investment management concepts. With structured preparation, official study material, mock tests, and guided training from AssetPlus Academy, candidates can prepare confidently.
The exam is conducted in computer-based mode and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each) to be completed within 2 hours. Candidates must score 60% to pass. Negative marking of 10% applies per wrong answer.
The certification is valid for three years from the date of passing the examination. Professionals should renew their certification before expiry in accordance with applicable NISM guidelines.
You can renew before expiry by completing the applicable Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programme or by reappearing for the NISM Series XXI-A examination, as per the latest NISM guidelines.
